The Argonaut Hotel is a Kimpton hotel located on the waterfront at the west end of fisherman's wharf, adjacent to the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and across from the Hyde Street Pier. The Argonaut Hotel is a four story original red brick building with 252 rooms that covers half of a block. The hotel has a nautical theme throughout the public spaces and guest rooms with colors in brilliant reds, navy blue and gold. The San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park Museum and visitors' center with 9,200 square feet of museum space is located in the northwest corner of the hotel on the first floor. Four-star level amenities and services include: business services with copier, fax machine, data ports and working space; room service provided by adjacent restaurant, blue mermaid chowder house and bar; fitness center; 13 ADA guest rooms; complimentary evening wine reception in the lobby living room; valet laundry service; valet parking; pet-friendly hotel. The Argonaut Hotel has a nautical theme throughout with public spaces colors in brilliant reds, navy blue and golden yellow. The lobby features 16 foot ceilings and a front desk that resembles a steamer trunk. The centrally located signature fireplace in the lobby area has an Astronomer's clock above the mantel with intricate dials that tell the time of day, month and year. Other details include a wooden plank lobby floor reminiscent of a luxury ship's deck; luxury cruise ship style chaise lounges, complete with terrycloth covered cushions, lined up along one side of the lounge; exposed original wooden columns.

Restaurants

Blue Mermaid Chowder house and bar (breakfast, lunch and dinner) open 7:30am to 10pm daily. Located adjacent to the Argonaut Hotel, the restaurant offers classic preparations of fresh seafood and homemade chowders in a casual ambiance, featuring a full bar and outside seating. In addition, the hotel offers a complimentary evening wine reception daily 5-6pm in our lobby living room.
