Frontend Developer (React)

Role Description

Firebird is an international online travel company that organizes trips to Europe for customers from around the world. We have a dedicated software development department that focuses on our products that allow everyone else to deliver some of the top-notch, worldwide services. Currently, there are a number of commercially available projects in production that are being actively worked on:


Tech stack: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Redux, PHP (backend integration), MariaDB, Docker
Our product team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer.

Your tasks will include:

  • Design and develop new functionality, taking part in architectural decisions for the frontend.
  • Analyse business requirements and design solutions using existing and new systems.
  • Develop frontend interfaces using HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Build responsive and mobile-friendly layouts.
  • Work with React, Redux, Next.js, and related tools such as Webpack and Babel.
  • Write and maintain unit/integration tests for frontend code.
  • Conduct code reviews and help maintain frontend coding standards across the team.
  • Mentor mid-level developers on architecture and best practices.
  • Active use of Company-approved AI development tools (e.g., Cursor) in compliance with internal policies, security standards, and evolving corporate guidelines.
  • Work with version control systems, including Bitbucket.
  • Use Jira and Confluence for task management and documentation.

Candidate requirements:

  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including production experience with Next.js.
  • Strong knowledge of and practical experience with React, Redux, HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with frontend testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library, or similar).
  • Good understanding of REST APIs.
  • Basic understanding of PHP backend architecture and how frontend applications interact with it.
  • Familiarity with jQuery is a plus (used in select legacy modules).
  • Ability to work with the Linux command line.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • English proficiency sufficient to read technical requirements and documentation.
