Head of Growth

Role Description

Rail.Ninja is an online train ticket booking platform operating in international markets. We're looking for a Head of Growth who will take ownership of growing sales and service performance through every available lever: marketing, website content and positioning, new partnerships, satellite sites, etc.

We're looking for someone who has led a product or built their own business — an entrepreneurial operator who thinks in terms of ownership and results, not a narrow specialist executing a single function. This person will look at the business end-to-end, decide where to invest next, and drive those initiatives through to measurable results.

This is not a content production role — our in-house Marketing team already handles that. We need someone who decides what we should be communicating and why, identifies new growth channels and partnerships, and owns the commercial outcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the growth agenda for Rail.Ninja: identify and drive every viable lever to increase sales and service performance — marketing, website, partnerships, new sites
  • Take direct ownership of website content, positioning, and messaging — what we say, how we say it, and why (not funnel or conversion mechanics, which sit with the Product team)
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new partnership opportunities that drive growth
  • Define and guide SEO and paid marketing strategy, working closely with our in-house Marketing team on execution
  • Explore and potentially launch new satellite sites or channels to expand reach
  • Bring a strong commercial lens to all initiatives: track and report on sales and revenue impact
  • Take initiatives from idea to measurable business result

Requirements:

  • Ideally marketing background, combined with commercial or growth ownership experience
  • Experience leading a product or having built/run your own business — an entrepreneurial track record is highly valued
  • E-commerce experience — must understand how content, SEO, partnerships, and product decisions translate into sales
  • Understanding of SEO and digital marketing channels
  • Experience evaluating or building partnership opportunities
  • Comfortable owning website content and positioning strategically — not just executing content briefs
  • Strong commercial instincts — able to prioritize based on revenue and business impact
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset — this role is built around initiative, not assigned tasks
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable reporting directly to the CEO
  • Fluent in both Russian and English
  • Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate growth work

We offer:

  • Remote work
  • Opportunity to build a stellar career in a fast-growing international travel company
  • Opportunity to work with advanced top-of-the-line software for travel management
  • Interesting, challenging tasks and a world-class team
